 **[The Institute for Policing, Incarceration, and Public Safety](https://hutchinscenter.fas.harvard.edu/policing-incarceration-and-public-safety)** will host a moderated panel conversation on **AAAS Professor Tommie Shelby**’s newest book, *[The Idea of Prison Abolition](https://press.princeton.edu/books/hardcover/9780691229751/the-idea-of-prison-abolition)*. The event will feature Tommie Shelby, Daryl Atkinson, Vesla Weaver, and Chris Muller. **AAAS Professor Brandon Terry** & former AAAS **Professor Elizabeth Hinton**, the Institute’s founding directors, will moderate!

 The event takes place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 4:00pm in Tsai Auditorium, CGIS South.
