As part of Mahindra Humanities Center's Modernism seminar series, AAAS Professor Jesse McCarthy will give a talk on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 6:00pm (Eastern) entitled "Ezra on the Low: Pound and the Modernity of Racial Blackness."  The Modernism series brings together faculty, students, and members of the public to explore perspectives on cultural artifacts, primarily literature, of the long twentieth century. Instead of identifying a thematic focus for the year, the series presents lectures informed primarily by the interests of the speakers and reflecting multiple facets of Modernist studies.
