AAAS Associate Azad Essa Announces New Book

In February of 2023, Pluto Press will publish the book Hostile Homelands: The New Alliance Between India and Israel written by AAAS Associate Azad Essa.  Essa's new book looks at the history of India's relations with Israel; the military industrial complex; the connections between the Israel lobby and Hindutva lobby in the US; and the similarities of the occupations in Palestine and Kashmir. Additionally, the book will examine how India has used its relationship with Israel to project itself as a close ally to the US, especially in light of rising tensions with China allowing Hindu nationalism to thrive in India and in the US where it has cooperated with white supremacist groups and become more emboldened as a result.
