On Monday, May 9, 2022, The Harvard Crimson published an article announcing the winners of the 2022 Thomas Temple Hoopes Prize which recognizes outstanding scholarly work on an academic project. Among the seventy-three winners is graduating AAAS Concentrator Sydney Lewis, for her thesis titled "The (Mis)education of Black Harvard: The Fight for African and African American Studies, 1963–1976." In January of 2021 Ms. Lewis was featured at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute in an article available on their website.
