#  AAAS Doctoral Student Panashe Chigumadzi to Moderate Panel at Lagos International Poetry Festival

 On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 2:00PM Eastern (7:00PM WAT) **AAAS Doctoral Student Panashe Chigumadzi** will moderate a panel at Lagos International Poetry Festival in a session titled: Conscious Solidarities: Black Solidarity across Generation, Geography, and Gender. Ms. Panashe Chigumadzi is joined in the session by panelists Achile Mbembe, Lebo Mashile, Funmilola Fagbamila, and Kobby Ankomah-Graham, who will interrogate a shared history of racial oppression, why a unified commitment to resist it is important, how this has fared historically, and the urgency of a shared political culture rooted in common experience.
