#  AAAS Graduate Student Elsa Lora Receives ACLS Fellowship

On **Tuesday, April 25, 2023**, The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) announced in a press release the inaugural cohort of Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellows. The new fellowship program supports emerging scholars as they pursue bold and innovative research in the humanities and interpretive social sciences and makes awards to doctoral students who show promise of leading their fields in important new directions. **[AAAS Graduate Student Elsa Julien Lora](/people/elsa-hardy)** is one of the forty-five fellows selected this year from a pool of 700 applicants.
