Friday, April 8, 2022, the American Educational Research Association (AERA)
announced the winners of its 2022 awards for excellence in education research. The Outstanding Book Award, established to acknowledge and honor the year’s best book-length publication in education research and development, was awarded to
AAAS Profession Jarvis Givens for his book,
Fugitive Pedagogy: Carter G. Woodson and the Art of Black Teaching. All AERA recipients will be honored at an awards ceremony at the 2022 Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
