#  AAAS Professor Alejandro de la Fuente Featured in The Harvard Gazette

On **Wednesday, September 14, 2022**, *The Harvard Gazette* published an article entitled ["Rethinking Cuban Art"](https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2022/09/rethinking-cuban-art/) reporting on a new exhibition at the [Cooper Gallery](https://coopergallery.fas.harvard.edu/el-pasado-mio) which focuses on the works of  lesser-known Cuban artists of African descent. The article features **[AAAS Professor Alejandro de la Fuente](/people/alejandro-de-la-fuente)** who created and curated the exhibition that opens tomorrow, **Friday, September 16, 2022** with an opening reception held from 6:00-8:00pm. A [panel discussion](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/discussion-panel-el-pasado-miomy-own-past-tickets-412094243977?aff=ebdsoporgprofile) with some of the artists in the exhibit will be held on **Tuesday, September 20, 2022** from 4-6:00pm and moderated by Professor de la Fuente.
