AAAS Professor Caroline Elkins on Shortlist for 2022 Baillie Gifford Prize

On Monday, October 10, 2022, The Washington Post published an article entitled "Books on empire, migrant crisis up for Baillie Gifford prize" in which AAAS Professor Caroline Elkins and her new book “Legacy of Violence: A History of the British Empire” are among the finalists on the shortlist to receive the Baillie Gifford Prize.  The Baillie Gifford Prize recognizes English-language books from any country in current affairs, history, politics, science, sport, travel, biography, autobiography and the arts, and the winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on November 17, 2022.  The article can be read on The Washington Post 's website.
