#  AAAS Professor Cornel West to Speak at UB-Department of Surgery

The University of Buffalo's Department of Surgery hosts **[AAAS Professor Cornel West](/people/cornel-r-west)** as their inaugural speaker in a newly endowed lecture series on [Health Equity & Social Justice](http://www.buffalo.edu/ubnow/stories/2021/02/surgery-anti-racism-west.html). Professor West's lecture, "Beyond the Knife: Anti-Racism and Health Equity," will be held on **Thursday, February 18, 2021** from 4:00-5:00pm(Eastern).
