 

#  AAAS Professor Daniel Agbiboa to Lead Conversation re Countering Violent Extremism in Africa

On Thursday and Friday, October 29-30, 2020, **[AAAS Professor Daniel Agbiboa](/people/daniel-e-agbiboa)** leads a major partnership between Howard University’s National Resource Center for African Studies and George Mason University’s Carter School for Peace &amp; Conflict Resolution on a US Department of Education [Title VI grant](https://activity.scar.gmu.edu/award/us-department-of-education-title-vi-grant-countering-violent-extremism-africa) (2019-2022) on “[Countering Violent Extremism and Making Durable Peace in Africa.](https://cfas.howard.edu/CVE)” Professor Agbiboa will lead the two-day virtual global conversation on the role of religion in preventing/countering violent extremism (P/CVE), with experts participating from across the world.
