On Thursday, August 6, 2020, AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham will participate in a live panel discussion, “Race and the Role of the Academy in the Post-Awakening World.” The panel is the inaugural event of the new Speaker Series from The Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora (CSAD) and Georgia State’s College of Arts and Sciences, and will focus on the work and relevance of Africana studies at this critical historical moment.
