AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham will speak to Philadelphia Bar Association re 19th Amendment

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, the Philadelphia Bar Association announced that AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham will deliver a lecture on the 19th Amendment at its Summer Quarterly Virtual Meeting on August 7, 2020.  

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment — which granted women the right to vote — the lecture is entitled “Women’s Pursuit of the Vote: A Picture in Black and White.”
