#  AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham will speak to Philadelphia Bar Association re 19th Amendment

 On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, the Philadelphia Bar Association announced that **[AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham](/people/evelyn-brooks-higginbotham)** will deliver a lecture on the 19th Amendment at its Summer Quarterly Virtual Meeting on August 7, 2020.

 In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment — which granted women the right to vote — the lecture is entitled “*Women’s Pursuit of the Vote: A Picture in Black and White.*”
