 The New England Historic Genealogical Society and American Ancestors will host a Winter Family History Benefit honoring **[AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham](/people/evelyn-brooks-higginbotham)**. The evening will include an illustrated presentation by Professor Higginbotham entitled, "History in the Face of Slavery: A Family Portrait," a dialogue with **[AAAS Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr](/people/henry-louis-gates-jr)**. and a Q&A with the audience.
