#  AAAS Professor Gates' "The Black Church" to Premiere in February

 On **Wednesday, January 27, 2021**, *The New York Times* published an [article](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/27/books/new-february-books.html?searchResultPosition=1) entitled "13 New Books to Watch For in February". One of the thirteen books listed is the new book by **[AAAS Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr.](/people/henry-louis-gates-jr)**, *[The Black Church: This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song](https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/624481/the-black-church-by-henry-louis-gates-jr/)*, which will be released by Penguin Press on February 16, 2021.

 Premiering on *PBS* in February under the same name, *The Black Church: This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song*, is a four-hour, two part documentary executive produced, written, and hosted by Professor Gates.
