#  AAAS Professor Jesse McCarthy Publishes Novel 'The Fugitivities'

 On **Tuesday, June 8, 2021**, publisher Melville House will release the debut novel of **[AAAS Professor Jesse McCarthy](/people/jesse-mccarthy)** entitled *[The Fugitivities](https://www.mhpbooks.com/books/the-fugitivities/)*. The novel is beginning to spark interest and was recently [selected by local NPR station WBUR](https://www.wbur.org/artery/2021/04/01/2021-spring-books-reading-list) as one of ten books by New England authors to read for "food for thought."
