AAAS Professor Ousmane Kane Convenes Fifth Islam in Africa Conference

AAAS Professor Ousmane Kane convenes the Harvard Islam in Africa Initiative's Fifth Conference, “The Fayd ̣a Tijāniyya in the Twenty-First Century: A Major Articulation of Global Islam”  on Thursday, April 22, 2021 through Saturday, April 24, 2021.  The international conference will include a keynote speech and six panels, as well as a concert performed by three leading Fayd ̣a Tijāniyya singers.  Panelists in the conference will include scholars from various disciplines in the social sciences working on different regions of the world as well as some Tijānī practitioners.  For more information visit Professor Ousmane's event webpage.
