#  AAAS Professor Sarah Lewis Wins 2022 Danto/ASA Prize

On **Wednesday, August 4, 2021**, the American Philosophical Association (APA) and the American Society for Aesthetics (ASA) announced that **[AAAS Professor Sarah Lewis](/people/sarah-lewis)** is the recipient of the 2022 Arthur Danto/American Society for Aesthetics Prize. Professor Lewis is recognized for her paper published in *[Art Journal](https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/00043249.2020.1779547)* entitled "Groundwork: Race and Aesthetics in the Era of Stand Your Ground Law."
