On Saturday, January 16, 2021, AAAS Professor Tommie Shelby, current president of the American Philosophical Association (APA) Eastern Division, gave the Presidential Address entitled "Afro-Analytical Marxism and the Problem of Race." Professor Shelby's address closed out the APA's 2021 Eastern Division Meeting, a 6-day event filled with lectures and colloquium & symposium sessions.
