AAAS Professor Tommie Shelby Keynotes UNC Humanities Symposium

The 2022 E Maynard Adams Symposium for the Humanities, “Social Class Difference and the Search for Political Solidarity Among Black Americans”  will feature AAAS Professor Tommie Shelby as its keynote speaker.  The two-day Symposium will begin on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 5:30-8:00pm(Eastern) with Professor Shelby’s keynote lecture “A Tale of Two Tenths: Race, Class, Politics, and Solidarity,” followed by audience Q&A.  On Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10:00am-12:15pm(Eastern), a panel discussion of UNC faculty and humanists responding to Dr. Shelby’s themes will take place.  For more information and to register for the virtual sessions visit UNC-Chapel Hill's Carolina Public Humanities' website.
