 **[AAAS Professor Tommie Shelby's](/people/tommie-shelby)** latest book, *[The Idea of Prison Abolition](https://press.princeton.edu/books/hardcover/9780691229751/the-idea-of-prison-abolition)*, will be will be released by Princeton University Press next **Tuesday, November 15, 2022**. A [panel discussion](https://hutchinscenter.fas.harvard.edu/event/panel-discussion-idea-prison-abolition) launching the book's publication will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 4:00pm in the Tsai Auditorium at CGIS South, 1730 Cambridge St.
