#  AAAS Professor van Waijenburg to Speak at SSHA and Vanderbilt

On **Saturday, November 13, 2021**, **[AAAS Professor Marlous van Waijenburg](/people/marlous-van-waijenburg)** will speak at the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Social Science History Association. Professor van Waijenburg's talk is titled "Inequality in Sub-Saharan Africa from Pre-colonial times to the Present." On **Monday, November 15, 2021**, Professor van Waijenburg will give a talk entitled "The race between education and technology in Africa and Asia, 1870-2010" to the Economy and Society Seminar at Vanderbilt University.
