#  AAAS Professor Vijay Iyer Participates in America/Beautiful Variations Project

**[AAAS Professor Vijay Iyer](/people/vijay-iyer)** is one of more than 70 composers that have written individual variations for solo piano on the theme of *America the Beautiful* as part of the *[America/Beautiful](https://www.america-beautiful.com/)* project created by Rutgers University Professor of Piano at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Min Kwon. This collaborative project on variations will premiere over the course of six days, beginning July 4, 2021, in a series of free streamed video performances and Q&As, and two nights of live concerts in a Brooklyn Catacomb.
