#  AAAS Professor Vincent Brown On Shortlist For The 2020 Cundill History Prize

In a [virtual event](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZFMEW8I3Hw&feature=youtu.be) on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, the [2020 Cundill History Prize](https://www.cundillprize.com/#) announced that **[AAAS Professor Vincent Brown](/people/vincent-brown)** is one of the ten authors selected for the [shortlist](https://www.cundillprize.com/news/2020shortlist) to receive this year's award. Professor Brown was selected for his recent book *[Tacky's Revolt: The Story of an Atlantic Slave War](https://www.hup.harvard.edu/catalog.php?isbn=9780674737570)*. The Cundill History Prize celebrates the best of the year's history writing from around the world with a $75,000 award. The finalist for the award will be announced on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 and the winner revealed sometime during the month of November.
