AAAS Professors Gates & Lewis Featured in Frederick Douglas Documentary

HBO announced the premiere of a new documentary, Frederick Douglass: In Five Speeches, which will air on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 9:00pm(Eastern).  The documentary will feature actors reading five of Douglass' speeches, each representing different moments in the history of 19th century America and Douglass' life.  AAAS Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., executive producer of the documentary, joins AAAS Professor Sarah Lewis and other scholars to contextualize Douglass' speeches.  For more information visit HBO's website.
