On **Thursday, February 3, 2022**, 5:30pm - 6:45pm (Eastern), the Countway Longwood Author Series hosts **[AAAS Professor Jarvis Givens](/people/jarvis-r-givens)** in conversation with **[AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham](/people/evelyn-brooks-higginbotham)**, the immediate past president of the Association for the Study of African-American Life and History (ASALH). The conversation will focus on Carter G. Woodson, the founder of ASALH, and his legacy, including key issues in education and African-American History.
