AAAS Professors Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham in Conversation

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, PBS Books, in collaboration with the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), hosted a conversation between AAAS Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and AAAS Professor Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham.  The two African American historians discussed his work and his process for his new documentary, MAKING BLACK AMERICA: THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE, a four-part series premiering on PBS stations across the country starting on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 9:00pm(Eastern).  The two explore the documentary's themes and content.  The recorded conversation can be viewed on PBS Books' YouTube page.
