Chicago Bar Honors AAAS Professor Jamaica Kincaid With Named Cocktail

On Saturday, January 1, 2022, Instinct Magazine published an article entitled "Nobody’s Darling Brings 'Women Centered' Nightlife Back To Chicago."  The article profiles the Chicago bar Nobody's Darling, one of the few remaining lesbian bars in the United States, which is owned and operated by two women of color.  Named after Alice Walker's poem "Be Nobody's Darling," the bar features carefully crafted cocktails named after iconic black trailblazers, including AAAS Professor Jamaica Kincaid.  The honorary cocktail, "J. Kincaid Daiquiri," is a twist on a classic daiquiri and includes dark rum which provides more depth and flavor to the drink.  Read the full article on Instinct Magazine's website.
