#  Flavor Flav Donates Clock to Harvard

On **Wednesday, April 5, 2023**, *[The Harvard Gazette](https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2023/04/flavor-flav-meets-emily-dickinson/?utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=hu-twitter-general&utm_medium=social)* reports that Flavor Flav visited Harvard University where he participated in “Poetry in America,” the *PBS* companion to a Harvard Extension School course led by Professor Elisa New. Flavor Flav joined students in a table read of several poems by Emily Dickinson and discussed connections between her work and his own. During his visit at [The Hiphop Archive and Research Institute](http://hiphoparchive.org/), Flavor Flav removed the clock he was wearing and donated it for inclusion in the HARI'S collection. **[AAAS Professors Henry Louis Gates, Jr](/people/henry-louis-gates-jr)**. and **[Tommie Shelby](/people/tommie-shelby)** were on hand to graciously accept the notable timepiece.
