Harvard University Black Commencement features AAAS Speakers, New York Times Reports

In a recent New York Times article, Colleges Celebrate Diversity With Separate Commencements, African and African American Studies (AAAS) award-winning alumna, Olivia Castor, and AAAS Professor Brandon M. Terry lent their voices to the celebration of diversity across campus and across the nation on the occasion of the new "Harvard University Black Commencement" at the graduate school level.

Both Professor Terry, Assistant Professor of African and African American Studies and Social Studies, and Olivia Castor delivered encouraging and inspirational addresses as faculty speaker and student speaker, respectively, during this momentous occasion, which was co-sponsored by the Department of African and African American Studies.
