Performance and Resistance: An Interview with Robin Bernstein

The University of Pittsburgh Humanities Center has uploaded an interview with AAAS Professor Robin Bernstein.  In the interview Bernstein spoke about her life, her career, and her book, Racial Innocence: Performing American Childhood from Slavery to Civil Rights.  Links to the interview are below. 

In addition to the interview, Bernstein gave a lecture on “Criminalizing Black Freedom on Stage: How the Forced Exhibition of William Freeman Inaugurated the Myth of the Black Predator” as well as the University of Pittsburgh Humanities Center’s Spring 2018 Faculty Seminar.
