Prof. Hinton Challenges Institutions of Higher Learning to Engage and Address the Phenomena of Mass Incarceration

Professor Elizabeth Hinton, Assistant Professor in the Department of History and the Department of African and African American Studies, has an editorial titled, Turn Prisons Into Colleges featured in the New York Times.  In her article, Professor Hinton sets out a serious, provocative challenge to institutions of higher learning to engage and address the phenomena of mass incarceration in more direct and constructive ways.
