#  Two AAAS Concentrators Win 2023 Hoopes Prize

On **Friday, May 5, 2023**, *The Harvard Crimson* published an article titled ["74 Harvard Undergraduates Awarded 2023 Hoopes Prize."](https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2023/5/5/hoopes-prizes-2023/) Among the seventy-four recipients of this year's Hoopes Prize are AAAS concentrators [**Sterling M. Bland** ](/people/sterling-m-bland)(Sociology & AAAS) and **William L. Lohier** (English & AAAS). The prize is funded by the estate of Thomas T. Hoopes, and aims to recognize “excellent undergraduate work,” usually in the form of a senior thesis. Each student winner receives a $5,000 award.
