DESCRIPTION:<p>	On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 2:00PM Eastern (7:00PM WAT) <strong>AAAS Doctoral Student Panashe Chigumadzi</strong> will moderate a panel at Lagos International Poetry Festival in a session titled: Conscious Solidarities: Black Solidarity across Generation, Geography, and Gender.  Ms. Panashe Chigumadzi is joined in the session by panelists Achile Mbembe, Lebo Mashile, Funmilola Fagbamila, and Kobby Ankomah-Graham, who will interrogate a shared history of racial oppression, why a unified commitment to resist it is important, how this has fared historically, and the urgency of a shared political culture rooted in common experience.</p><p>	The event is free with advance <a href="https://lagospoetryfestival.com/festival-events/conscious-solidarities-black-solidarity-across-generation-geography-and-gender/" target="_blank" title="Event Registration Page">registration</a>.</p>
