DESCRIPTION:On Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 2:00PM Eastern (7:00PM BST), for UK Black History Month, <strong>AAAS Doctoral Student Panashe Chigumadzi</strong> will moderate <a href="https://www.blacktheliterarysalon.co.uk/" target="_blank" title=" The Literary Salon">Black: The Literary Salon</a>'s panel "<a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/black-the-literary-salon-tickets-86791314157" target="_blank" title="Event Page">Writing Stories; Making Histories</a>."  Chigumadzi will invite writers Emma Dabiri and Ayesha Harruna Attah to consider what it means to write stories and the ways in which the writing of stories is also the prelude to making histories. Each speaker will speak to how they engage and evoke the past in their work in order to provoke the future archive that’s been fabricated in the present.
