DESCRIPTION:<p>	On <strong>Friday, May 14, 2021</strong> from 3:00pm-4:30pm (Eastern), UC Berkeley's Social Science Matrix will feature a "Matrix on Point" panel discussion entitled, <a href="https://matrix.berkeley.edu/events/matrix-point-americas-pursuit-racial-justice/" target="_blank" title="Event Web Page">"America’s Pursuit of Racial Justice."</a> The panel will include <strong><a href="internal:/people/brandon-terry" target="_blank" title="Professor Terry's Faculty Bio">AAAS Professor Brandon Terry</a></strong>, as well as Monica Bell (Yale), and Leigh Raiford (UC Berkeley), and will new moderated by Christopher Muller (UC Berkeley).  This panel of scholars with diverse disciplinary backgrounds will discuss the critical momentum of Black-led protests and the Black Lives Matter movement during the past year, and situate this within the larger historical context of social movements for racial justice in the United States and the unfinished work of the Civil Rights Movement.  This event is free and open to the public with <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScTDjB3fXndd2U7MsZeEHVt3BjjZYxuL--T2mTWnBVWkjUxgg/viewform" target="_blank" title="Event Registration">advance registration</a>.</p>
