Kaysia Harrington is a joint concentrator in Social Studies and African-American Studies with a focus on U.S. Schools, Prisons, and Law. Harrington is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, where she attended Owensboro High School. 

On campus, Harrington is the Director of the Harvard Prison Education and Advocacy Organization, and has served in roles at Harvard's Center for Community Life, the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, Harvard's Undergraduate Legal Committee, Harvard's Women's Center, the Legacy of Slavery, and at Radcliffe's Institute of Study. This most recent summer, Harrington worked as a Higher Learning Intern at the Mellon Foundation while conducting independent research for her undergraduate thesis exploring the consequences of Act 35 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
