Dree Palimore

Quadree (Dree) Palimore, is currently a sophomore from Urbandale, Iowa pursuing a joint concentration in African American Studies and Government.  Mr. Palimore is fascinated with Black politics and is interested in the realms of Black political ideology in the United States, the discourse of Black liberals and Black conservatives, and the significance of prominent Black political actors throughout the United States' history, such as Frederick Douglass, W.E.B DuBois, Barack Obama, and Clarence Thomas. His interests in the AAAS department lie heavily on the political side of Black American history and he has a strong passion for uncovering and decoding the ways in which Black politics has changed throughout American history.

Mr. Palimore is a member of the Harvard Glee Club and is extremely passionate about music of all genres.  Some of his favorite artists include Bruno Mars, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, and Corinne Bailey Rae.  He is considering a secondary concentration in music with a citation in Spanish and hopes to merge his love for music and Black politics into a project of some kind, perhaps in a similar style to the work of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton, one of his favorite pieces of music.
