'Ha dem bado flot?' How do boats float?

 AAAS Concentrator Samantha O'Sullivan, a B.A Candidate in Physics and African American Studies, will present "'Ha dem bado flot?' How do boats float?," as the Social Engagement element of her Senior Thesis, "Gullah Physics: Challenging English Language Hegemony in Science."  Participants will learn the science of buoyancy in Gullah, and Ms. O'Sullivan will invite  them to complete 3-5 minute surveys before and after the lesson.  There will be time for a Q&A after the presentation.  Register in advance here or at GullahScience.com
